Our school recognises the importance of a positive parent/staff relationship.

We encourage:

Important notices, reminders and school information are communicated through email, the Parent Portal and our school newsletter.  Our Facebook, Instagram and Seesaw pages are used to celebrate learning, share highlights from school events and showcase student achievements.

Seesaw

The unit overview, a summary of intended learning, is posted at the beginning of the learning of each unit on Seesaw. Parents can expect to receive a post of student learning/achievement via Seesaw in addition to photos of day-to-day activities that student’s post themselves. In addition, the collaborative reflection of student learning is displayed on the noticeboards outside the classrooms.

Newsletter

A Duffy Newsletter with information about what is happening in the school and the community is published and emailed out to Parents/Carers on Thursday of Week 3, Week 6 and Week 9 each term.

P&C Meetings

Parents and Citizens (P&C) meetings are held throughout the term for your input and feedback. These are advertised on the school calendar and in the school newsletter. The school P&C communicates through WhatsApp, join the community here: Stay Connected with P&C.

Communication with Classroom Teacher

Teachers appreciate the opportunity to talk with parents and carers both informally and in formal situations. Parent Teacher Interviews will be held once a semester during your child’s school year. These are booked through Parent Portal - please ensure you are signed up! If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask for an appointment to meet with the teacher at any time throughout the year.
