Our school recognises the importance of a positive parent/staff relationship.

We encourage:

Important notices are communicated via the Duffy Primary School Facebook page, newsletter, email and through the announcements section in Seesaw. The fortnight ahead, a summary of intended learning, is posted at the beginning of each fortnight on Seesaw. In addition, the collaborative reflection of student learning is displayed on the noticeboards outside the classrooms at the end of the fortnight. A fortnightly school newsletter with information about what is happening in the school and the community is emailed at the end of each fortnight. Once a fortnight parents can expect to receive a post of student learning/achievement via Seesaw in addition to photos of day to day activities that student’s post themselves.

Parents and Citizens (P&C) meetings are held throughout the term for your input and feedback. These are advertised on the school calendar and in the school newsletter. The school P&C also has a Facebook page and a website for more information.

Teachers appreciate the opportunity to talk with parents and carers both informally and in formal situations. Interviews will be held in term 2 during your child’s preschool year. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to ask for an appointment to meet with the teacher at any time throughout the year.
